Investigating the Status of Legal Literacy of Teachers in District 2 of Zanjan

The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of legal literacy of teachers in district 2 of Zanjan city. For this purpose, a questionnaire was prepared based on three areas of Civil Service Management law, Administrative Violations law and Teacher Ranking System law. Employing a stratified random sampling method, a sample of 320 people (male and female) was selected from the teachers in district 2 of Zanjan city and the questionnaire was distributed among them. The research instrument is the research made legal literacy questionnaire with 30 items, which is used to ascertain the construct validity through confirmatory factor analysis and validation (calculation of Cronbach's alpha) and to analyze the data using independent one sample t test, independent two-samples t test and one way Anova. The findings of the research confirms that the level of legal literacy of teachers is lower than average. Furthermore, there is no significant difference between the level of legal literacy with gender and level of education but there is significant difference between the level of legal literacy concerning teaching experience.
